Dr. Young-Suk Yoon Receives Ministerial Award for Globalizing Korean Medicine

We are delighted to announce that on March 21, Dr. Young-Suk Yoon, Director of Jaseng Medical Academy, received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award for his contributions to Global Healthcare at the "Medical Korea 2025" event, held at COEX, Seoul, on March 20.

Organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and hosted by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, "Medical Korea" is a major event aimed at enhancing the international reputation of Korean medicine and promoting development within the healthcare industry through academic conferences and business meetings.

The Global Healthcare Award specifically recognizes individuals and institutions that have significantly contributed to the international growth and development of the medical industry. Dr. Yoon was honored for his efforts in scientifically advancing and globalizing Korean medicine.

Dr. Yoon has actively led the modernization and scientific research in Korean medicine, particularly focusing on spinal and joint treatments, while continuously promoting its excellence globally. He has also facilitated clinical training programs for 261 international medical professionals and medical students from 27 countries, fostering sustained international collaboration and enhancing the status of Korean medicine worldwide.

Upon receiving the award, Dr. Yoon stated, “This recognition is not just my individual achievement, but the collective effort of all medical and research staff at Jaseng Medical Academy. Moving forward, we will further expand our international exchanges and educational activities, and continue striving for the scientific advancement and global recognition of Korean medicine.”

At Jaseng Medical Academy, we actively pursue opportunities to advance Korean medicine globally by hosting clinical training programs for international healthcare professionals, conducting national research initiatives, and organizing international academic conferences. Recently, we were honored as the only Asian medical institution to present our research findings at the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health (ACIMH) in Seattle, demonstrating our commitment to integrating traditional Korean medicine with modern medical practices.
