In this CME, we will explore the concept and treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) based on the latest research. Starting with the structure and movement characteristics of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and ultrasound approaches, we will also introduce diagnostic criteria. Additionally, we will examine the effects of acupuncture, Chuna therapy, and pharmacopuncture on TMD and provide supplementary readings for further study.

Learning Objectives

CME Credits

In this CME session, we will explore the concept, diagnosis, and treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) based on the latest research. Beginning with the anatomy and movement characteristics of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), we will introduce ultrasound-based approaches and diagnostic criteria.

The session will also cover the effects of acupuncture, Chuna therapy, and pharmacopuncture in treating TMD. By comparing these methods with conventional approaches, participants will gain a deeper understanding of evidence-based treatment strategies and improve their clinical application.
At the conclusion of the session, learners should be able to:
1. Understand the structure and basic anatomy of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and explain its normal movement.
2. Comprehend the causes and concept of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and assess them based on diagnostic criteria.
3. Explain the effects of acupuncture, Chuna therapy, and pharmacopuncture in the treatment of TMD.

If you paid for an individual course and it is not what you were expecting, you can request a refund within 14 days of your payment. You are not eligible for a refund if you’ve completed 50% or more of the course, earned a course certificate, or 14 days have passed since your payment.
